Dr. Hannah R. Leventhaldrhannah-tryon-equine-intern.jpg

Originally from Colorado, Dr. Leventhal is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her undergraduate degree also at Kansas State University. Throughout college and veterinary school, she spent her time working and volunteering at the university’s horse unit, a therapeutic horseback riding center, and working as a member of the foal team and as an overnight student technician in the large animal/equine ICU at the KSU Veterinary Health Center. She also visited numerous equine-only veterinary practices while in veterinary school in order to obtain broad experience in private practice. Dr. Leventhal has a variety of interests in veterinary medicine, including business and practice management, medicine, nutrition, reproduction, neonatology, and pain management. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys baking, reading, hiking, horseback riding, playing clarinet and piano, and spending time with her dog (an adorable Goldendoodle!).

Dr. Slangal is from a small town east of Raleigh, North Carolina. She recently graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in Indiana, where she emphasized in equine medicine and lameness. While attending veterinary school, she was President of the Veterinary Business Management Association and participated in the foaling team. She obtained her undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University (NCSU), where she volunteered and interned at the University's equine breeding facility. Dr. Slangal 's interests include equine internal medicine, sport medicine, and foal care. Other interest areas include professional development and business. Apart from equine veterinary medicine, she enjoys riding Hunter/Jumpers, hiking, and exploring new areas.
